I bought some Evan Designs pre-wired red 1.8 mm LEDs with capacitors from a hobby vendor at the Timonium MD train show to use for marker lights for my Amfleet I's.
Taking the car apart carefully, I connected the wires to each side of the metal contacts that contact the light board.
I then ran them under the interior light kit (I have the lighted versions) to the marker light housings on the other end of the car and glued them into place.
Painted the LED sides with Testors black to prevent bleed through and voila...red marker lights!
As soon as I figure out how to post pictures. I'll add them up.
PS...you have to leave off a couple of the tiny screws which hold the light kit to the roof of the car. The capacitor sits right under the light kit when the wires are stretched out.
