Good eye. But if you did correct it, would you be the only one who knew? It's not the same if no one appreciates the work...

This seems like the factory in Germany botched the decal install on the prototype,NOT Atlas, the "quick" fix would be renumber the unit. At most shows, the "General Public" could care less, tell the "Nitpicker" it was a prototype glitch, and "TAKE A HIKE!"

At most shows, the "General Public" could care less, tell the "Nitpicker" it was a prototype glitch, and "TAKE A HIKE!" I would agree. But the funny thing about this variation is that it's so simple and obvious, yet hard to model and unlikely to be noticed by many if you do model it. It's on a par with the "Norfolk West and Ern" car, but somehow not worth the effort to reproduce.

This was only 1 unit, now if it was 5 or more, then it might be worth the effort needed, who knows if NJT will fix this when it goes thru a complete rebuild?

Kinda like "if a tree falls in the forest and no is around to hear it..." I just found it interesting. Perhaps, like my'ol Sarge who used to work assembling cars for GM before switching careers would say: "Those decals were applied on either a Friday or a Monday"

Starting on page 20 of the July'17 issue of MRH is their review of the Atlas ALP-45DP and the ML-II cars. This is a very detailed review as well.
