In keeping with the outstanding standards set with their FP9A and B, Rapido's upcoming MLW FPA-4 and FPB4 models look like they're going to be stunning. I saw the first sample in person last year (and it looked spectacular!), and now they've posted photos on their Facebook page of some decorated (hand-painted at the factory) samples of the CN and VIA A and B units. Jason and co. say that there's still a lot of work to be done, but dang, they look phenomenal already. And to add to the excitement, they posted a video of the sound-equipped samples. Just listen to those amazing MLW/Alco sounds! linkP.S. Rapido also posted an amazing photo of a new sample of their upcoming (finally!!!) LRC locomotive on Facebook, and it's just...I'm lost for words Go check it out (you don't need an account to view their Facebook page: link

Yes indeed, and in fact both the Napa Valley and Grand Canyon units are being released by Rapido in the first run. There's also one on the New York and Lake Erie Railroad, which is the real unit that Rapido recorded the sounds from.

That NY&LE unit hides in the shadows,it's good that the GCRY and NVRR are part of the 1st run. On a side note to the Napa Valley units, were converted to run on Natural Gas to be compliant with Ca air quailty rules! No Alco smoke!
