Hello All,
I ended up on this forum after a search on Walthers Metroliner and I found what I was looking for. So here I am.
I’m modeling North American N-scale for a little less than a decade. I’ve been travelling extensively in Toronto for business a few years ago and switched my growing interest to model train to Canadian railways first, which soon after was followed by US railways. A lot of diversity and prices much lower than European model trains finished to convince me.
Though I concentrate mostly on the 1940’s to 1970’s period, I have a few modern power and commuter trains. Of course, due to my time in Toronto, I own a set of GO Transit Bombardier coaches and matching locomotive.
I’m also contributing since quite recently to JMRI decoder definition files.

AlanUS, welcome to the forum! I hope that you find it to be a great resource for your modeling.
If you are looking for info on Canadian modeling, check out our Canada-specific board. I'm sure that our resident Canadian modeler, timberly, could give you plenty of knowledge and expertise! The other boards are a great place to share your other models!

Thanks for the welcome. Actually from Canada, I only have a few RDCs and the GOT set that I mentioned earlier. I was considering buying the newest Kato VIA Rail set but one has to be reasonable sometimes… I’m very fond of Kato model trains especially their legendary passenger trains. So I’m the happy owner of: - GN Empire Builder - PRR Broadway Limited - CB&Q Silver Streak Zephyr - CBQ /DRGW /WP California Zephyr And also to complete the picture of Con-Cor - CBQ Pioneer Zephyr (post-WWII) Lot of diversity on the network, even if some mix are not really prototypical … but several of these could have met in Chicago, couldn’t they?
