Okay, this may not belong here (I also posted in the "classifieds"), but seeing as it relates to Canadian commuter modeling, I figured I'd give it a shot:
To date, I've bought a slew of True Line Trains MP36PH-3C and -3S's for my collection (MBTA, Metra, Metrolink, VRE, MARC and Northstar). Somehow, I missed out on their GO Transit MP40PH-3C.
I've been trying to add one to my GO fleet but cannot find any available anywhere. I KNOW they were released, even seen YouTube videos from modelers trying them out on their layouts.... but no matter where I look (including Canadian stores and online sites), and I've searched high and low, I can never find any!!
HELP!!!! I'm only looking for one, non-DCC preferred, road number doesn't matter. Does anyone know where I can find one of these elusive beasts? Does anyone have one in their collection they're looking to divest themselves of?
Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated in helping me locate and secure one!!

Those units were released several years back, and they are definitely not that easy to find anymore. I can make a few suggestions: there is a Yahoo! group called CanModelTrains which is one of the go-to gathering places for Canadian modellers. There's also a Canadian Railway Modellers page on Facebook. I'd suggest you try joining either of those groups (you have to "ask" but they don't turn people away unless you're a spammer!), and then post there asking if anyone is willing to part with one or knows of a shop with any sitting on the shelf.
The other option is to try calling some of the larger stores like George's Trains, Credit Valley, Otter Valley, PWRS, Prairie Shadows, etc., that tend to actually carry more in stock. Some of those shops don't always list everything they have on their websites (especially if they take in used stuff or consignments), so it would never hurt to give them a call.
Good luck with your search!

There was a GO Transit version listed on eBay a couple of months ago but the asking price was way above MSRP.
Only MP36PH locomotives I've seen within the last couple of months in some stores are VRE, MARC, METRA, UTA & MBTA.
Have you tried contacting True Line Trains directly? Maybe they can steer you to a couple of stores that might have one on the shelf.
I wonder if TLT will do another run? I certainly would grab a GO Transit MP40.

Thanks for the advice guys! While I did look at some of the Canadian shops websites with no luck, I will follow the suggestion to call them, as well as TLT (I had only referenced the retailers listed on their website, didn't talk to them personally).
In regards to a second run, I had heard that allegedly they were planning another round of GO MP40PH-3C's in the newest GO Transit livery. No confirmation on that though...

Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated in helping me locate and secure one!! Are you still looking for one by any chance? One has popped up on eBay: www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-GO-TRANSIT-600-MP40-3c-DCC-Sound-TLT-True-Line-Trains-VIA-CN-CP-Canadian-/391247675373?hash=item5b182dbfed
