Thanks to acelaphillies for creating this board, and I hope it becomes another resource for our niche modeling creations.
Mike from IHP here. Many of you will know me already as the creator of many of your commuter and transit models. My company has been in business since 1993, and has been producing commuter, transit and traction models since 1995.
I myself, however, am personally interested in the modeling aspect and my interest area is mid-1980s SEPTA, Amtrak and some other NE commuter operations as that's what I grew up with and it would give me a chance to operate some of my favorite Amtrak and SEPTA vehicle models. If I ever get a chance to retire to a train room with a house around it, I'd like to build a layout representing the Amtrak Harrisburg line, the NEC from Philly to New Haven, and some local SEPTA lines. How I would combine all of these disparate elements is so far unclear, but that's part of the fun.
You'll probably see some product announcements and information posted here or at least linked to my company's website, moderators permitting, but I would like to participate in the modeling discussion from time to time and also look at other peoples' layouts and modeling efforts.
