There's a report (on railroad.net)that 6 FL-9's are to be leased by Amtrak from ConnDOT. All are stored since since retired by ConnDOT after the P32 DM's and BL-20GH's went into service, sometime soon, the 6 will get towed to Amtrak's Albany shop to get needed servicing and repairs. All 6 are in New Haven McGinness scheme. Amtrak is planning to again run into GCT to allow another Heavy maintenance of way Blitz in NY Penn station. An unconfirmed report for this diversion,Both #48 and #49 will run Boston South Station -Chicago during the Blitz, passengers to NYC will change to Empire service trains at Albany. Again for now, this is unconfirmed.

On top of this, Amtrak is threatening to suspend any trains operating on routes whose PTC is not fully operational by the end of the year. This could get interesting...

Not quite sure if that is decided on a case by case basis,NJT might be banned on the NEC for lack of ACSES install on their power and cab cars.

AS of mid may,48 and 49 now run to/from Boston S. Station, and finally got the View II diners! I will pass on what Amtrak is trying out on the Lake Shore food service-wise. The P-32DM's got Nose escape hatches installed, also 2 MARC Cab Cars are in the mix as "leaders". DV Bridge is getting damage repaired and the Branch is having some trackwork done as well.
