Back around the 2006/2007 time frame there was an Amtrak passenger car parked in Sunnyside yard. On the side by one of the doors there was lettering that said "Tunnel Maintenance." Below is the only picture of the car I can locate. Just looking to see if anyone can provide any additional information. It always peaked my interest every time I saw it. Attachments:

The psgr car in ? looks like a Heritage coach downgraded to MW service along with the gon and the string of MHC's. The foreground vehicle is a Catenary Maintance Vehicle, self propelled and used to repair/replace the overhead wire, hooked to it is a "cart" carring a spool of wire. Both are "european" built prototypes.

Amtrak never really kept good records (or so it seems) on work cars. A lot of times, if a rider car was needed for the days (or nights work) the crew just grabbed an available coach in the yard and used it.
Even the "Amtrak by the Numbers" (awesome book by the way if you are into Amtrak equipment) book has very little material on revenue equipment converted to work or company use.
That coach in the picture seems to be an ex-ATSF coach.....Amtrak had dozens of them.....with additional seating added......which explains the odd sized windows when compared to the rest of the car.
One of the Walthers Budd coaches is nearly a perfect match to the car (withe the exception of the additional windows)
