Check the Horizen website for replacement wheelsets, that are now used on current RTR/Genesis runs, or swap out to NWSL wheels if you still have the orignal style wheelsets. Will snap some pics in a day or 2,since the sideframes hide the wheelset, skip the "rust out" treatment.

I took my O Scale Amtrak P42 and redid the paint to look like yours. I ordered the decals but can't find the decals for the sides for it with the gradient.

Hi Jonathan, welcome to the forum! I would love to see pictures.
I am not aware of anyone that makes O scale NJT P40 decals. Where did you get them? As such, I am not sure where to find the stripe.

Nice job acela! Unfortunately, it seems NJT has sold all of its P40s to Shore Line East. Bummer! Anyway, nice job and keep us updated with your progress!

They were sold off to ConnDOT,but have not left MMC yet, planned as power for New Haven- Hartford-Springfield service, and to allow the other units to get cycled to the shops for much needed repairs/upgrades.
"Baby steps" type testing has started for the M-8's on the 25kv wire for SLE services, there're still a few stations that need a 2nd high level to allow M-8 use on SLE

Holy Cow that model looks good!
Also, I thought it was weird that I'd been seeing PL42ACs on the Atlantic City line, now I know why! those P40DCs had been hanging around southern NJ for a while.

Thanks! I'm a little sad to see the P40s go. Some people think they are really ugly, but I always had an eye for them. Their oddball status also made them cool in my book.

Hate to see what ConnDOT will do when they "patch" them for NHV-Hartford service They were very "ham handed" when they "patched" the ex-Amtrak P40's

I know this is a really old thread... I was hoping to find out what color grey was used for the body of the loco. I am having a hard time matching the NJ transit grey.
