at the time when Amtrak unveiled there Heritage units, i had several undec Athearn P42´s from a sale, so the decision was made very fast to paint one after another. I don´t know which one was first, i made the Phase 1, 2 and 3 units. Since Microscale had no matching decals available at that time, i had to customize other Amtrak sets, which was some work, especially for the nose sections of the phase 2 and 3 units.
