Nice timing,HO version is an Athearn custom run,MSRP $145.00 N scale is Kato/Kobo Customs run,MSRP $135.00 Unknown if the models are a LIMITED Run.

Not a fan of the Athearn P42 since everytime I've gotten one in the past, something came loose, parts were missing or a bulb was burnt out.
But I may have to pop for the Veteran's model. From the online picture, it looks real good.

Wow, this is a great addition to the Amtrak Exclusive model train line!
If you want this model, now is the time to act! Because of all the Army licensing on the model, it is very likely that this will be the only time that this model is produced--at least for a long while.

All of the Military branchs are shown,so DoD granted the "license" to do #42 and #642 including the "ribbon" colors colors under the graphic image.

This is an "unconfirmed" report that AMTK 66 (the ph II unit) was in an accident. Checking the Heritage Unit site,shows 66 at Beech Grove since 04/30/16. AMTK 66 had a run in with a truck,reportly repairable,awaiting a OK to repair if the $$$$ is avaible.
