Hi all, I'm Evan from Northport Wisconsin ( west-ish of Green Bay). I found my way here from the Atlas Rescue Forum. There seems to be a whole lot of amazing talent on here. I've been out of the hobby since about 2010, so I'm not quite up to speed on all the new stuff yet. My primary interest is the Chicago area in the mid to late sixties. I like far to many different railroads to focus on just one. So Chicago seemed like the best choice. I have a lot of interest in passenger and head end/express operations. I'm hoping I can learn a few things here. Now that I have a house with a basement again I've really been getting the itch to do some modeling again.

Evan,Welcome to the board,if memory serves,Green Bay has(or had)3 real good Hobby Shops and you're within a few hours drive of Walters(Terminal Hobby Shop)in Milw. Chicago was (and still is) the largest rail hub for Passengers and Freight, back then and even nowadays.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Green Bay is less than an hour from me and yes there are some great hobby shops there. Luckly I've still got a pretty big supply of unbuilt kits to keep me busy for a while. First order of business will be to build a workbench before my wife kicks me off of hers.
