Hi all I found this site after asking a question on another site about Amtrak. I model CSX mid 1985 to around present. HO scale in the area south of the Mason Dixon line and east of the Mississippi. At this time I have no layout but plan to start in the near future. I have many plans in my head and how to put them in place one day. Part of it is a time warp part or a whole layout set in the 1930's to 1960's I like passenger trains from all eras so I will have a lot of questions here Thanks in advance Gator.

Welcome to the forum,gator63. There are towns in the southeastern US,that are "timeless" in their own way, with only the need to update or backdate signage and vehicles to fit the time period modeled.

Welcome Gator. Any plans for some FEC passenger service? I've always had a soft spot for the FEC.

Good to see fellow southeastern modelers. My main focus is SCL's long distance passenger train with my favorite being "The Champion". I'm slowly updating my Walthers cars by paint stripping them and metalizing them with Alclad 2: However, I'm not embarrassed to freelance. I have an attractive A-B-A set of P2K Florida East Coast E-units that I will use, from time to time, to haul the "Champ" as well. In my world, the FEC continued hauling long distance trains after the big strike in the early 1960s. My other passenger favorite is way up in the northeast: New Haven, 1960s. Primarily the commuter service. Hi all I found this site after asking a question on another site about Amtrak. I model CSX mid 1985 to around present.
