Has anyone tried modeling the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey (RBBX) trains? I know they go via the NEC pretty often and would be quite the kit bashing project

Trains did a story about the RBBX trains a few years back, they are long sets of Passenger cars with some Flat Cars carrying a small fleet of rolling containers for the rigging needed and a small support fleet of trucks and busses, turning a yard into a small town while performing at a nearby arena When on the move the trains lenght = to the summer version of VIA's Canadian.
Ages ago AHM/IHC did some of the George Straits Shows cars in HO,Walters did do a run of Circus Train cars. The Straits Show Train is about 1/2 the lenght of a RBBX train, and stay "encamped" at a yard for a month or so, performing at venues 1-2 hours away from the Camp site.

Extreme Trains did an episode on the train. It showed the shops where they rehab the cars. No 2 cars are the same

Both the "Red" and "Blue" Units call the shop at Fl "Home" during the short "off season", and alternate which region of the country they visit every year.
Operations wise, the train is handled as a special freight train move with a typical speed limit of 40-50 MPH, higher speed on a case by case basis. Amtrak has used 3 GG-1's,3 E60's,3 HHP-8's,and now 3 ACS-64's to move the circus train across the NEC, 2 units pulling the train and the 3rd unit as a shadow, ready to assit if needed, all are setup to handle "straight air"(freight) brakes instead of the normal air brake setup for passenger service.

Ringling Bros is folding up it's tents forever by May of 2017,the last Circus train to Uniondale(Garden/Mitchell Secondary,LIRR) After the run at Nassau Coliseum that ends May 21st,it will head home to Florida, reportly the other train will head home from Providence Ri on May 7th back to Florida. After 146 years the RBBX reporting mark will be history. Unknown about the status the George Straites Shows Circus train

IT is possible that both the red and blue units might pass each other on the NEC,the Red unit enroute "home" to Florida and the Blue unit enroute to Uniondale.
Cannot say where on the NEC,the timing is not predictable.
Last move:Red unit from Providence RI,P&W to Amtrak,to CSX at DC to Florida home base
2nd to last move of the Blue unit: Charleston Wv on NS to Richmond,CSX to DC,Amtrak to Harold interlocking,LIRR Mainline to Queens interlocking,Hempstead Branch to Garden interlocking, camping on the Garden Mitchell Secondary.
