As I learned over on dieseldetailer, IHP is working on a P30CH model, to be a single-piece resin shell, and likely with a Shapeways frame designed to accept an off-the-shelf mechanism.
Who is interested in one? Mike is a little worried that the interest won't be there for a model that isn't ready-to-run. Myself, I'd love one and I'm hoping that more interest = more sales = a better overall product.

Since the P-30CH wandered thru NM on the Sunset Ltd on ex-SP trackage, sounds interesting. Believe I know a couple of modelers that might be interested in a shell.

I would want one purely from a model building standpoint. I like building models of uncommon prototypes and that's getting more difficult with all the Chinese RTR crap. I'll happily buy an American made kit that I can spend a few weeks building.

I would buy a kit if produced and I second that I'd rather buy American than RTR from China.

Picking up an used Athearn GE-C chassis or Atlas GE -C chassis to salvage drive parts would be easy depending on how the shapeways frame is designed. You could use the bodyshell and frame for a "boneyard/scrapyard scene, after salvaging the drive parts for the pooch.
