So, Walthers did a fantastic job on the new Amfleets. But as I chip away at building a working consist, I've run headlong into a small challenge. The food service cars only come lettered for Amcafe. No way to do an Amlounge, Amclub, or the car I need: Amdinette.
I dug out one of my old Walthers white box Amfleets, and sadly the decals appear to have yellowed to where I couldn't rob the Amdinette lettering.
When I figure out the lettering, I will probably start by using a piece of red decal film to cover the "Amcafe."
Anyone else run into this? Other decal sets I might not know about? There's a whole series of corridor trains--including things like the Cardinal and City of New Orleans--that ran with mainly Amfleet consists and need something besides an Amcafe.

Believe the "Am-dinette,-club,-cafe" tags were used up to ph III,in ph IV and IVb,the more common lounge tag was used for cars that retained 1 person seating(now "named Business Class") The Amfleet cars modded into the "Diner-Light" interior configuration, not sure if the "Dinette" tag was used. Microscale might have what you might need:(Walters) 460-87526 ph III Amfleet MSRP $8.25

Unfortunately, Phase III lettering is black on a white stripe. Phase I and II lettering is white on a red background. So hopefully I can get my old Walthers decals to bleach out because I have yet to find another source for "Amdinette" in white.
