Did the Amtrak only board go missing?? I could have swore I seen one here someplace?? If you removed it, I think an Amtrak only section is a good idea as a quick, easy reference to any and all Amtrak builds, instead of sorting through all the regions to find something. Just another idea!! There was never a specific Amtrak board. If you guys would like one though there are a few options. 1. Make an Amtrak section and a Commuter section within each region. 2. Make an Amtrak section separate and change "Modeling by Region" to "Commuter Modeling by Region" 3. Do the same as option 2 but spit Amtrak into 2 sub categories: "Electric operations" and "Diesel Operations"

Just a quick and easy, Amtrak Modeling would work fine I think. It could/can be a repository for all models Amtrak.
I think it would be self explanatory to put Amtrak models into the Amtrak section.
No reason to go and change the titles of the other categories, leave those as they are.
I for one would enjoy the Amtrak only section.....I have many projects that I could post there as I build them.

You might want to take a poll of DCC systems and decoders used. While decoders respond to all DCC command stations, programing decoders is different for each system, unless you use JRMI's Decoder Pro to handle the decoder programming

I see we got a DCC and electronics board......no Amtrak only board?? LOL!!!!
Why I think it would be helpful is take a coach or baggage car or any non-region specific locomotive or piece of equipment......what region do you put it in.........they went all over the country.

Sorry Bob, I was planning on doing it, just hadn't yet. I'll do it and then move appropriate topics into it. Btw, thanks for all of the suggestions, they have been a lot of help.

I have it set on all board that registered members can start polls. I'll let you start it so that you can make it exactly how you want it.

Acelaphilles, have set up 2 polls in the DCC Forum, 1 for DCC Systems,1 for DCC Decoders. lets see what happens. It's been a few weeks since the polls were started, seen very little voting . Please vote! Thanks.

When I to the Diesel detailer site, there was a part of the site, possibly used for commerical purposes, that will not allow site visitors(guests) to view(members only). Some of us are trying to keep older Athearn,Lifelike P-1000 +P-2000 and any "clone" athearn drive models up and running, But replacement(spare)parts are becoming harder to find. Dan, It's your call,in a couple months, maybe setup a members only"Sell and Swap" thread ??

Yes, I was wondering if you guys all saw that message too. You are correct, it will be a ProBoards system wide upgrade. So, every single forum using proboards will need this upgrade. It is not optional. If you visit the Diesel Detailer they are already running on the new format.
