Figure over time,Rapido will research if METRA is worth doing a run, license wise. A reminder, the Comet I's were a Pullman - Standard design for NJDOT,at 575 ACV HEP back then. When BBD got the PS design plans at auction,They updated them to the Comet II design, which became the baseline for the following Comet car generations.
For the SEPTA modelers, you can now model the "all day" push-pull set with the ACS-64 and Comet II cars!

Actually, P-S themselves "updated" them to Comet II design several years before BBD even acquired the plans. MBTA's 1978/79 cars (coaches 300-344 and cab cars 1300-1314 all now renumbered 200-258) built by P-S were equipped with high/low platform capability with steps and traps and 480V HEP. BBD just copied the MBTA cars.

Hey guys, For those that want unnumbered units and cab cars, you can contact Rapido directly for a special order. The caveat is that they must be a minimum of 6 items (for instance, if you want an unnumbered F40PH, you must order six.) I put in a request for 6 unnumbered HO scale cab cars for NJT (as two just isn't enough.) Not sure if other modelers knew about this. Happy modeling all! Tom

That's not a result of the tariffs as much as one would assume. Theres a great amount of detail and R&D going into these. Also note that the sprinter underwent some major changes (after they announced the MSRP) before its initial release so the price for that was bound to go up. The key is to see what the avg discount is stateside. Remember, bachmann offers the biggest discounts.

The dec 2019 issue of MRN has a review of Bachmann's retooled Acela I, a 2 powered truck power car is an upgrade. There are plans for the needed cars to create the normal 8-car set,you would need pics for the "High speed" track geo car, that creates the rare 9-car Acela I.

Atlas will do a run of B-23-7's,one of the paint schemes is MN's,not sure if it's the MN "patch" or the silver/red/blue scheme. Figure on moving the horns off the roof to the fireman's side of the long hood to clear GCT's roof.
