I'm a little late to the party but I'd like to point to a quick tryout that I posted several months ago when mine first arrived: (The Capitol Limited was the first available train in the station  )
I love 'em! The horns had been dislodged in shipping but Rapido sent out a pair right away!
Jason & Crew are top performers!

Ed, thanks for sharing the video! I enjoyed watching it. Your layout looks very nice, and the different camera angles that you tried out were pretty cool.

Rapido posted a quick photo of their first samples for the new batch of F40s the other day on their facebook page. The samples were on route from China, so we should see better photos soon. Photo shows the VIA rebuilt F40PH-2D in the back, the cabbage in the middle, and the modernized Amtrak unit in the front. Note the huge variation in details between the different units.  |

With a HARD order deadline of 09/15/17 at Rapido,by early 2018,the Rebuilt F-40ph and NPCU models should be delivered.

And you get a free bonus motor and gears with the Cabbage! Now, what else can be done with them I can't say.
I'm sure they'll never make the RTA unit, even though that was almost half the Phase I units ever produced. No love for Chicago.
